DACHSER Finland to integrate Frigoscandia Oy as of 1 January 2026

DACHSER Finland Oy will integrate the Finnish operations of Frigoscandia AB into its organisation as of 1 January 2026. From that date, all services previously provided by Frigoscandia Oy will be delivered directly by DACHSER Finland.

The integration follows DACHSER’s acquisition of Frigoscandia AB in early 2024, which made the Nordic company a wholly owned subsidiary of DACHSER. Founded in 1948, Frigoscandia has grown into a leading logistics provider for temperature-controlled and frozen food in the Nordic region. Its service portfolio includes road transport with its own fleet, air and sea freight, as well as extensive warehousing capacities across several temperature zones. Over the decades, the company has established a dense and efficient network across Sweden and, through subsidiaries and partners, also in Finland, Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands.

Since 2019, Frigoscandia has been a partner in the European Food Network (EFN), an alliance of leading food logistics providers coordinated by DACHSER. This long-standing cooperation has created a strong operational and cultural alignment, laying the groundwork for the next step in the companies’ joint development.

The 2024 acquisition and subsequent integration represent an important milestone in strengthening DACHSER’s presence in Northern Europe and further reinforcing its position among the leading food logistics providers in the region.

Strengthening food logistics in Finland
Integrating Frigoscandia’s Finnish operations fully under the DACHSER Finland umbrella marks a significant step forward in the development of DACHSER’s Food Logistics business in the country. The move brings together Frigoscandia’s long-standing cold-chain expertise with DACHSER’s global network, modern systems, and broad logistics portfolio. It underscores DACHSER’s commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable food logistics services for customers in Finland and across Europe.

While Frigoscandia Oy will cease to exist as a separate legal entity, current customers can expect full continuity: the transition will not affect customers’ day-to-day contacts or service processes; all familiar personnel and operational procedures will remain unchanged.

“DACHSER Finland looks forward to leveraging this integration to deliver strengthened logistics capabilities in the food sector – offering customers increased resilience, wider geographical reach, and enhanced operational excellence rooted in decades of combined know-how”, states Tuomas Leimio, Managing Director, DACHSER Finland Oy.
