Frigoscandia demonstrates its focus on the Nordic market – agrees to sell French subsidiary to Olano Services SAS

Frigoscandia AB has signed an agreement to sell all shares in its French subsidiary Frigoscandia SAS to the French logistics company Olano Services SAS. The transaction is expected to be completed in Q3 2022.

Frigoscandia SAS, based in Boulogne-Sur-Mer, conduct transport and terminal operations in the food-logistics segment. The primary focus for the company is domestic transport of temperature-controlled goods, mainly specialized in the seafood segment. The company’s logistics platform mainly consists of its own fleet of about 50 vehicles, a terminal and approximately 70 employees.

Our French subsidiary has been an important and successful part of Frigoscandia for many years, where it has built up a strong market position with steady growth and positive development. We are selling a very well-run specialist company to an existing strategic partner in Olano Services SAS. Frigoscandia’s focus going forward is on growing and strengthening our position in the Nordic region as our home market, while we refine our international network primarily through external partners, says Frigoscandia’s CEO, Peter Haveneth.

The buyer Olano Services SAS is part of the Olano Group, which with approximately 3,000 employees, 1,500 vehicles and a total of 2 million square meters of refrigerated storage capacity is a well-established European logistics player.
