Pressrelease 30-03-2021
With new owner Aurelius, Bring Frigo relaunches its former brand Frigoscandia
Aurelius acquires Bring Frigo, Sweden’s largest company in temperature-controlled food logistics, from state-owned Posten Norge. With a new owner Bring Frigo can further develop the company’s offer and start operating under its former name Frigoscandia. The Swedish Competition Authority must give final approval before a change of ownership takes effect.
Bring Frigo’s customer portfolio consists of several large food companies in the Nordics. Via warehouses, terminals and distribution Bring Frigo offer the temperature-controlled food supply chain in the Nordic region, as well as internationally.
According to Leif Lupp, Managing Director at Aurelius Nordics, the market for temperature-controlled logistics is growing.
– During the acquisition process, we have gained a thorough understanding of the industry. We have been impressed by the management and their ambitious plans. Know-how paired with experience always plays an important role in a specialist company like Bring Frigo.
In Scandinavia Frigoscandia started what today is a billion-dollar industry – storage and distribution of chilled and frozen food as early as 1948. Today Bring Frigo offers an extensive food logistics network with a presence in the Nordics and in Europe. According to Peter Haveneth, CEO of Bring Frigo, the acquisition is a natural step in developing the business further.
– In 2020, we presented a solid and strong business plan, focusing on growth and development of our business areas Warehousing and Transport. We aim to offer a food supply chain based on quality and sustainability, combined with a digital customer interface and insights to meet our customers’ needs.
Bring Frigo will start communicating under the Frigoscandia brand during the second part of 2021. For German listed Aurelius, Bring Frigo is the 4th Nordic company in their current portfolio.
